DISCIPLESHIP

We offer age appropriate Christian education classes for all age levels, and offer a class for Spanish speaking families.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Jeff White is the Director of Leadership Development at Las Tierras Community Church in El Paso, Texas. He grew up in Guatemala City, met his wife Matheson at Appalachian State University, and studied theology at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary near Boston. Matheson studied Spanish Education at Appalachian State University and has been an ESOL teacher in the Greater Boston Area. They have a baby girl named Poppie Marie.

Through partnerships at UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso), EPCC (El Paso Community College), and local high schools, Jeff is engaging young Hispanic Americans in discipleship and apprenticeship opportunities in order to equip them to build bridges and lead multiethnic ministries in the church and community.

CHURCH PICNICS

There are few better ways to get to know others at Las Tierras than at one of our church picnics. Held at a nearby park, come join us for lots of food, fellowship, and fun.

Wear your sneakers and bring your chairs, football, volleyball, or basketball. You can relax in the shade, or join in the game!

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We help families in the construction, repair and maintenance of their homes. We participate with the City of El Paso in the Día de los Niños y Día de los Libros event. We hope to partner with religious and non-religious entities in combating human trafficking here on the border.

ACROSS THE
BORDER

We partner with Jamie and Jen Burkemper, working in Ciudad Juárez with Ministerios Fronterizos (Mission to the World), to see churches planted and strengthened in Juárez, Mexico, particularly Frontera de Gracia, Promesa de Vida, and Gracia y Paz churches.

HOPE FOR THE NATION

DH and Emily Henry work with the Navajo in Window Rock, AZ, to intentionally connect with children and families through Word-based ministry. Their hope is to live out their life’s ministry with this people group, pursuing Christ-centered community, and cultivating and serving the church. They have a passion for teaching God’s Word to kids and families. This will likely happen through AWANA, small group Bible studies, one-on-one discipleship, hospitality, jail ministry, and evangelism.
